What does it mean to feel grounded?
We often think of grounding as being still or finding calm, but grounding is also our capacity to feel connected, supported, and present within the changing rhythms of life.
In Ayurveda, the qualities of movement, change, and instability are associated with Vata dosha. When these qualities become excessive, we may experience restlessness, scattered attention, or difficulty settling. Grounding practices invite us to cultivate their opposites: warmth, steadiness, nourishment, and rhythm.
What to Expect
The Grounded Body is a 90-minute experiential workshop that brings Ayurvedic wisdom into everyday life through accessible, sensory-based practices.
Together, we'll explore:
Gentle, intentional movement (yoga and qi gong) to develop awareness of the body and its relationship to the ground.
Breath and sensory awareness to invite greater presence and ease.
Ayurvedic self-care, including Padabhyanga, the traditional practice of warm oil foot massage.
Rest and reflection to integrate the experience and recognize what helps us feel supported.
Each participant will receive a thoughtfully prepared Grounded Body kit with simple tools and practices to continue exploring at home.
Who Is This For?
Anyone wishing to slow down, reconnect with their body, or learn practical ways to incorporate Ayurveda into daily life. No previous experience with yoga, movement, or Ayurveda is necessary.
Grounding is not something we have to achieve. It is a relationship we can return to, again and again.
