Rest is more than the absence of activity. It is an essential part of how we restore our energy, integrate our experiences, and maintain a healthy relationship with the rhythms of daily life.
Yoga Nidra, often translated as "yogic sleep," is a guided meditation practice that invites the body into deep relaxation while cultivating a gentle state of awareness.
Unlike a movement-based yoga class, Yoga Nidra is typically practiced lying down in a comfortable, supported position. Through guided attention, breath awareness, and sensory observation, we explore the space between waking and sleeping.
What to Expect
This 60-minute session offers an opportunity to step away from the demands of the day and settle into a quieter experience of being.
You'll be guided through a series of awareness practices designed to encourage relaxation without effort or expectation.
There is nothing to accomplish, no particular state to reach, and no previous meditation experience required.
Wear comfortable clothing and bring anything that helps you feel warm and supported while resting.
A Gentle Transition Into the Week
Sunday evenings offer a natural threshold between the activities of the weekend and the responsibilities of the coming week. Yoga Nidra invites us to meet that transition with a little more spaciousness and intention.
This session can be enjoyed on its own or as a beautiful continuation of The Grounded Body workshop earlier in the evening.
Sometimes the most meaningful practice is simply allowing ourselves to rest.
