Discovering the Body's Natural Capacity to Release Tension

Wednesday, November 11 | 6:00–7:00 PM Cost $30
Trinity Body Arts

Taught by Stephenie Going, TRE Provider

Our bodies carry the experiences of our daily lives. Stress, physical demands, and emotional challenges can influence how we move, breathe, and respond to the world around us. Sometimes, even after a stressful experience has passed, we continue to hold tension without realizing it.

TRE®, or Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises, is a body-based practice developed by Dr. David Berceli that uses a series of simple exercises to invite the body's natural shaking or tremoring response. This involuntary muscular response may help release physical tension and support a greater sense of ease.

What We'll Explore

During this introductory session, we'll discuss how the nervous system responds to stress and explore the principles behind TRE®. Participants will be introduced to the practice in a supportive environment with an emphasis on body awareness, choice, and self-regulation.

The goal is not to force a release or achieve a particular experience, but to learn how to recognize and respond to the body's signals.

Who Is This For?

This introduction is for anyone curious about the relationship between the body, stress, and nervous system regulation. No previous experience is necessary.

TRE® is a complementary wellness practice, not a replacement for medical or mental health treatment.

Come with curiosity and a willingness to listen to your body.
